A Credtent license grants rights to ingest and train on a defined corpus with documented chain of title. Coverage includes specified training use cases, EU AI Act and California AB 2013 compliance documentation, and anti-plagiarism output safeguards. Scope is negotiated during the proposal stage.

Yes. Credtent identifies the relevant rights holders, structures retroactive licenses for previously ingested training data, and provides documentation for demonstrating good-faith compliance efforts.

A 20-minute scoping call yields a proposal within 5 business days. Most deals close in 2–6 weeks, depending on content scope complexity and rights holder involvement.

Standard documentation includes chain of title records for licensed content, training data disclosure reports for EU AI Act Article 53 obligations, California AB 2013 disclosure scaffolding, opt-out records demonstrating good-faith compliance, and audit-ready usage reporting.

Legal exposure is material and growing. Multiple active cases are litigating scraped training data. Regulatory disclosure requirements are creating documentation trails, and opt-out mechanisms now represent documented non-compliance records. Licensing mitigates that risk proactively.

No. Credtent is a Delaware Public Benefit Corporation with bylaws that prevent acquisition by any major AI company or big-tech platform. We don't build models, take equity positions, or share data outside of licensed transactions.

No. Credtent functions as a licensing agent, not a publisher or co-owner. You retain full IP ownership. The platform holds limited representation rights for AI licensing, which you can terminate at any time.

Every licensing deal routes 85% of gross revenue directly to the rights holders and data providers whose content was licensed. The remaining 15% covers Credtent's platform, legal infrastructure, compliance tooling, and operations. This split is contractually embedded in every deal — it is not negotiable.

Royalties are distributed quarterly, with usage reports detailing which licensees used your catalog and at what volume.

Yes. During catalog registration you set parameters across verticals, use cases, and application types. You can exclude specific licensees or categories, and all deals require your approval before executing.

Credtent is the only multimodal registry in the industry. Accepted formats include text, audio, video, image, and structured data across education, healthcare, sports, entertainment, and media verticals.

Yes, always. Registering your work for the industry-wide opt-out is free and will remain free. This is a foundational commitment reflecting our Public Benefit Corporation structure — not a marketing tactic.

When you register your works with opt-out selected, Credtent communicates your preferences to all AI companies in our network. Those companies are contractually prohibited from training on opt-out registered works. Enforcement currently applies to network participants; broader coverage expands as our network grows.

Yes. Opting out is fully reversible. You can update your preferences at any time to enable licensing — no retroactive fees, no penalties.

Credtent provides continuous auditing and monitoring. Violations are documented, and the platform supports enforcement through network contracts and by providing legal evidence to rights holders pursuing action.

Credtent is a neutral licensing infrastructure platform that connects AI companies with rights-cleared, provenance-verified training data. We maintain the only multimodal Independent Creative Registry, enabling creators and rights holders to register works for opt-out, licensing, or both.

Credtent retains 15% of gross licensing revenue. There are no subscription fees for enterprise content owners. Individual creator plans are free, or $49/$99/month for premium features.

No. Our bylaws structurally prohibit acquisition by any major AI or technology platform. This independence is permanent by design, not policy — and it's what makes us a trusted neutral party for both sides of the market.

Credtent Inc. is a Delaware Public Benefit Corporation (PBC) and B Corp certified. This structure legally obligates us to pursue a defined public benefit — protecting creative rights in the AI economy — alongside financial returns.
